We are an inclusive academy, welcoming pupils and parents of all backgrounds and faiths. Hopefully, you will find all you need to know on our approach to admissions from Reception to in-year transfers, but please do contact us should you require any further advice and support, or to discuss a place for your child.

We can take up to 30 children in Reception. Parents wishing to apply for a place in Reception should complete the form online at the Calderdale Admissions website.

Reception applications are open from 17th November 2023 until the close date of 15th January 2024. If you have any questions regarding your application, please don’t hesitate to contact us!
STEP 1
Click APPLY NOW to begin your application process which will be carried out via the Calderdale Council website.

STEP 2
Set up an account on the Calderdale Council website.
You are required to set up your account before making your application choices. Keep your login information safe for the future as you will need this to find out what school your child has been allocated to.
STEP 3
Choose your top 5 primary schools and order them from your first choice to your last.
We recommend putting 5 schools on the form as this will give you a greater chance of getting the school you want. If you’re accepted to more than one school, you will receive a place at your preferred school – i.e. your first choice.
- Remember to check that all 5 schools are within your catchment area.
You can view or amend the online application throughout the preferencing period.
STEP 4
Reception places will be made on National Offer Day, 16 April 2024.
If you apply online (via the instructions above) you will receive an email with your child’s offer on National Offer Day. If you apply any other way, you will get your offer via post within a few days after the official offer day.
Year 1 - 6 Admissions In-year transfers
Parents of children in Years 1 to 6 wishing to join the school should contact the school office in order to make an appointment to view the school.
Parents and guardians with children resident in Calderdale should make an online application to Calderdale Education Department.
The application will then be considered at the fortnightly North Halifax or Central Halifax BAC panel meeting.
Parents of children resident outside Calderdale wishing to apply for a Calderdale school will need to submit their application to their home local authority.
